Off the coast of Belgium, the Les Pradelles project by
Dennis T’Jampens is an exercise in minimalism and complementary hues. Fairly
new to entrepreneurial design, his firm packs a huge punch with its open
layouts. Side Note: To achieve a fluid design, Dennis T’Jampens knocked down
the interior walls in order to save the load bearing wall that separates the
kitchen and living room space.
An area rug against veneer flooring is a welcomed idea to
introduce texture into the space, and the use of espresso toned flooring to
anchor the brightness of the interior wall treatment achieves an elegant
atmosphere.

The contemporary modernistic viewpoint of this esthetic
lends well to the candor of its geometric design while bursts of cerulean blue
add to the calmness in the space. The focal point of the room is the center
fireplace wall that divides both common areas. Tract lighting in the kitchen
area does not detract from the natural lighting reflecting from the stark white
walls.
A center island in the kitchen allows for ease of access,
and the decision to create a bar setup makes this quaint space livable. This
European room remains charming with recessed appliances, wood veneer
countertops, and laminate treatments for the sink area.
The master bedroom has been left as a blank canvas, allowing
the homeowner to freely express his or her character and creativity.
Untraditional spaces are fairly common in European
countries, and this master bath is no exception. The clean lines and modern
fixtures enhance the practicality of the room. Glass enclosures for the shower
area maintain the contemporary aspect of this design.
